70 per cent of our planet lies hidden in the deep sea. HOW DEEP IS YOUR LOVE accompanies researchers to a place where cold, pressure and darkness shape a unique, highly sensitive form of life. Between ship decks, dives and laboratories, one marvels at creatures and ecosystems that exist beyond our everyday lives. The young deep-sea researchers bestow wonderful names upon these new, fantastical creatures.

The extraction of raw materials in the deep sea clashes with the value of an untouched habitat and unknown animals. Before irreversible decisions are made, the benefits of deep-sea mining should be reconsidered. In the end, the simple question remains: how deep is our love for this previously unknown marine world?
