Green Visions 2025 Potsdam

Market for sustainable living 2026 in front of the Filmmuseum

The subjects couldn’t be more topical: balcony solar systems, electric cars, energy transition and energy-saving tips are the themes behind the German government funded Kopernikus Projects which will be presented in the “Babbel Bubble” during the festival. The team from the Potsdam Institute for Climate Research will be on hand on Friday May 29th to offer visitors valuable tips at the Babbel Bubble, one of the many stands at the market for sustainability.

At a total of 20 market stands in front of the Filmmuseum Potsdam, visitors can learn interesting facts about regional food, vegetables, herbs, honey, fair trade products and permaculture (Beefriends, Foodie & Friends, Florahof, fLotte Potsdam, a reading lounge at the Gärtnerhof, Gebana, Lichtenborner Kräuter, Marktschwärmerei Potsdam, Permakultur kollektiv e.V., ZWRN). The sustainability market runs Friday to Sunday, 29 to 31 May, daily from 12:00 to 18:00.

The socio-ecological GLS Bank will be showcasing itself in the foyer of the Film Museum, and Bundesstiftung Baukultur will be providing information on climate-friendly architecture. Initiatives such as the Network for the Rights of Nature, Omas for Future, Potsdam Marketing and Services, proWissen Potsdam e.V. and the new eco-magazine atmo will be presenting their work and offering information and tips around sustainable living. And once again, delicious food and drinks will be provided by Lena and her “à la maison” catering team. The taz Pressomobil will be serving up its excellent espresso. You can find an overview of all booths here.

This year’s Democracy Talk on Sunday, 31 May 2026 also offers a place for dialogue. Twelve Potsdam residents will have the opportunity to take part in Green Visions opening ceremonies and film, getting together a few days later during the festival to share their thoughts and opinions on the topics presented. The discussion will be moderated by Dr Simone Leinkauf of proWissen Potsdam e.V. (A limited number of spots are still available to participate in these activities). For more information, click here.
